Comments
Rudolf, Ruth, and Claus fled from their home to escape the Holocaust. After arriving in England, Rudolf's travel papers were issued July 12, 1940 in London, with papers for Ruth and Claus issued soon after on July 15, 1940. They left from Liverpool, England August 2, 1940 aboard the SS Eastern Prince, and arrived in Manhattan, New York, New York, United States on August 30, 1940. Rudolf, a merchant, was 5' 8" tall, of fair complexion with brown hair and eyes, and was neither an anarchist nor a polygamist. His nearest relative in Germany (apparently mis-stated) was his brother, Alfred, and he planned to join Alfred, who lived at 23 Vermylia Ave, Manhattan, New York, New York, United States.
